Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) was honoured with multiple sustainability recognitions in 2025, reaffirming its commitment to embedding environmental responsibility across its two flagship venues – Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) and Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC).
At the Middle East Waste and Recycling (MEWAR) Awards, DWTC received the Sustainability Initiative of the Year Award, recognising ongoing efforts to minimise environmental impact and advance sustainable solutions at scale, across its venues, including DEC.

DEC also retained its certification from the globally-recognised Green Globe Certification programme for the fourth consecutive year, alongside DWTC’s fifth year of certification. This continued certification highlights DEC’s alignment with rigorous international sustainability standards and its consistent progress in implementing best practices across energy, waste and resource management.
DWTC was also awarded the Dubai Chamber of Commerce ESG Label, further recognising our commitment to responsible business practices and advancing corporate sustainability across the organisation.
Together, these recognitions strengthen DWTC’s position as a regional leader in sustainable venue management and highlight our ongoing journey to build a more responsible, resilient, and future-ready events ecosystem.
